Welcome to The Elite SDVOB Network Illinois Chapter website! We are proud hosts of the 2011 National Convention in Chicago, and have been very active in attracting the participation of leading business and government organizations from across the country in supporting SDVOB initiatives. Some of our accomplishments and activities:

• Regular meetings that usually draw a capacity crowd (our meeting space accommodates up to 60 people), featuring special guest speakers. Special guests in the past year have included: Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Myer, City of Chicago’s Chief of Procurement, Cook County Office of Contract Compliance, Illinois Central Management Services, US Small Business Administration, US Department of Transportation, US Army Corps of Engineers, ComEd/Exelon, Peoples Gas, Nicor Gas,Womens Business Development Center, Aon Cornerstone, Allstate, Nielsen, Edelman, College of DuPage PTAC
• Working with government policy makers to promote veteran business engagement.
• Business Community Engagement: Booth for Elite at Minority Supplier Development Council’s regional event held recently in Milwaukee; Elite has also had a booth at the Wounded Warrior Welcome Home event
• Assisting companies with emerging supplier diversity programs to facilitate veteran business engagement
• Assisting large companies with veteran hiring initiatives
• Participating in Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs business events
• Speaking at corporate and diverse business organization events
• Assisting veterans encountering problems with certification and with general business issues
• Referring veterans with Service Connected Disabilities to the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs
